2009 The ChangeUp
This may be our most highly anticipated wine to date. The label is a fantastic, fun, baseball-themed painting created specifically for this wine by Owen Smith. Hints of black raspberry, tobacco, bracken and eucalyptus jump from the glass. Perfectly balanced acidity and soft tannins create a solid yet elegant structure for the flavors of cola, caramel and hoisin steak before culminating in a silky, savory finish. This wine knocks it out of the park!

December 2012 (92 points) – Antonio Galloni
Drink: 2014 - 2024
The 2009 Red Blend The Changeup is a rich wine loaded with fruit, but less personality and depth than the best wines in this lineup. Layers of dark fruit, grilled herbs, rose petals, flowers and mint all flesh out on the intense finish. The Changeup is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Petit Verdot, 20% Merlot and 10% Syrah.
Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
May/June 2012 (93 points) – Stephen Tanzer
Sweet black fruit, licorice and mineral scents are lifted by violet and minty perfume. Lush and seamless but with surprising grip to the creamy, broad flavors of cassis and chocolate. Wonderfully broad, lively wine finishing with suave, firm tannins and excellent verve and length.
