2010 The Dark Place
Welcome to The Dark Place! Visions in deep garnet, almost black colors will swirl around your mind. This wine satisfies the imagination and is reminiscent of a pine forest with vanilla, sweet cherries, anise and violets. Traveling deeper into the palate brings up savory flavors in the mouth of raspberry, strawberry and freshly ground pepper that is stealthily followed up with a long, broad finish. This blend of Tempranillo, Grenache, Cinsault and Cabernet Franc is poised to pull you in!

May/June 2013 (90+ points) – Stephen Tanzer
Good moderately saturated red-ruby. Aromas of sour cherry, licorice, tree bark, violet and peppery spices. Fresh and chewy, with good acidity framing the flavors of spicy dark berries and black cherry. The wine's tightly coiled spring suggests it will be better for a couple years in the cellar.
