2009 The Collector
Our inaugural release of The Collector is a fantastic blend, traditional only in that it is the kind of combination that has become a hallmark of Les Behrens, and includes Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Syrah and Tempranillo. The nose is a cornucopia of orange zest, clove, molasses, sandalwood, cinnamon and raspberry jam, followed by a seamless, vibrant midpalate of dates, white pepper and sassafras. It is not only a unique collection of varietals, but beautiful aromatics and flavors as well!
- 18% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Petit Verdot, 18% Syrah and 9% Tempranillo

Drink: 2012 - 2019
The 2009 The Collector is an interesting blend of 18% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Petit Verdot, 18% Syrah and 9% Tempranillo. It is a stunning wine graced with exquisite, beautifully delineated aromatics and equally vibrant, polished fruit. It shows tons of nuance and detail from start to finish. Dark plums, wild cherries, jasmine and mint are some of the notes that linger on the close. This is a fascinating and intriguing wine.

Deep, bright ruby. Aromas of blueberry, black raspberry, licorice, menthol, graphite and cocoa powder. Juicy, lively and fine-grained, with harmonious acidity framing and extending the flavors of black fruits, spices and creamy chocolate. Finishes with suave tannins and lovely persistence.
